About Robert H. Photography

My business philosophy is simple: fairness.  I try to find a balance between using the talent and passion I have been given within a business setting.  The result is a photographer who loves what he does and does not charge an arm and both legs.  There is a current perspective that believes since anyone can pick up a digital camera and claim to be a photographer then the real professionals must raise their prices to stand out above the rest.  I disagree.  I believe professional and quality photography should also be affordable.  I also believe that quality is not assured in the price, but found in ones work.
 
Photography started out as a hobby for me, and has grown into a passion.  I am eager to capture the feelings, the expressions, and the very moment in my photos.  I have been taking photos for over 5 years, and I continue to learn about photography, experiment with it, and create my own style.  I capture the moment with a journalistic or candid style, using different angles and depth of field.  I believe we all have some beauty and unique characteristics that make each of us stand out above everyone else, and I strive to accent those features in my photos.

Relationships are very important to me, and therefore they play a crucial role in my business.  I enjoy building relationships with my clients and as I do I get to know their personalities, their interests, their expressions, and ultimately I learn how and when to capture them in a photograph.  Through this process, my clients also get to know me, which helps them feel more comfortable with me and in front of the camera.  To allow enough time, I do not put time limits on my sessions.  I not only enjoy taking pictures and can take pictures for hours, but I enjoy the time with my clients, getting to know them, making them laugh to enjoy their time as well.  And missing a moment in a portrait session, at an event or during a wedding because it was outside the allotted time is not fair to my clients and it goes against my desire and hope to capture those perfect moments.
